Caritas Egypt is the social arm of the Catholic Church in Egypt. Since 1967 we have worked alongside the poor and the marginalised — whatever their faith — so that they may realise their own potential and lead the change in their communities.
We do not deliver charity to people. We work with them — recognising that every person carries the capacity to change their own life and the life of their community.
We strive for social change by empowering people so that they may realise their potential — through literacy, skills, rights awareness and access to opportunity.
We are inclusive and believe that every person is an asset for society — regardless of faith, gender, ability, origin or status.
We share our expertise and resources with partners, communities and institutions to multiply our efforts and make change last.
A conscious community where every human being, especially the poor and the marginalized, enjoys love, dignity, and justice. — Our vision
We are Caritas Egypt; as the “social arm” of the Catholic church, we seek comprehensive and sustained human development and work through brotherly cooperation and partnership to promote human life and human dignity through building a community with more awareness and resilience.
